About the International Alliance of ALS/MND Associations
The International Alliance is the peak body for national organisations who support people living with ALS/MND. The Alliance has undertaken several initiatives, including the publication of background documents, the creation of two awards, and the initiation of bursaries to assist members to attend the International Alliance meeting, as well as a Support Grant to support the formation of new associations and the establishment of recently formed associations.
The Directory
Alliance members come from all over the world and are listed in the Directory. The Directory provides information about the services provided by each organisation and the means of contacting them.
ALS/MND Annual Meeting
The International Alliance holds an annual meeting for members to meet and share advances in supporting people living with ALS/MND. Held in conjunction with the Annual Symposium on ALS/MND, the meeting is an excellent opportunity to discuss patient care, organisational development and planning, funding, and the role and activities of the International Alliance and its Board of Directors.

ALS/MND
ALS and MND are abbreviations for Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis and Motor Neurone Disease respectively. ALS/MND is a neurological disease that affects over 350,000 of the world’s population, and kills over 100,000 every year.
