Activities

Agexa, the Association for the Support of Patients with ALS and other Neurodegenerative Diseases Activities

● promoting specialized medical and psychological assistance to patients with ALS and other
neurodegenerative diseases;
● facilitating communication between patients and doctors;
● facilitating patient’s access to information and treatments in Romania and abroad;
● supporting the interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary collaboration in order to improve the quality of services offered to people affected by amyotrophic lateral sclerosis and thus increase their quality of life;
● organization of training courses, seminars, conferences, symposia, debates and organization of
public demonstrations, marches and other public awareness activities, according to the law;
● the design, development and publishing of educational materials and information in printed and
electronic format, courses, periodicals, brochures, posters, brochures, etc.;
● design, promotion and deployment of non-formal educational programs for individuals and groups,
in collaboration with medical institutions and non-governmental organizations with common interests with the association;
● organizing educational complex type “boot camps”; (complex programs consisting of training sessions, trips, outdoor activities, etc);
● making programs and campaigns to promote health, a balanced and healthy lifestyle, prevention
and control methods of the neurodegenerative diseases;
● organizing volunteer activities pursued in the field;
● supporting efforts to build, refurbish, upgrade and provision social, cultural or otherwise centers, in order to conduct their activities within educational, cultural, economic, humanitarian, charitable, social or informative purposes;
● developing links with other organizations and individuals at home and abroad with common
interests with the association through exchanges and joint projects;
● collaboration with various individuals, local authorities, other institutions and government
organizations, non governmental organizations in the country and abroad, for the implementation of
projects of common interest;
● in order to achieve the above goals, the association will sometimes carry out direct economic
activities and fundraising activities
