Activities

The objectives and activities of ALS-MND Association cover all the areas related with ALS and MND patients.  The association aims at contributing to the prevention of ALS and MND; rehabilitation of patients; improvement of their life qualities, and social conditions and relationships; amelioration of basis and clinical studies, medical and surgical approaches, and clinical practices.  Working also in collaboration with related foundations and groups, the associations deals with numerous issues by:

  • Organising congresses, conferences, seminars, training programmes, symposiums, and scientific, executive and social meetings
  • Communicating with ALS/MND patients via the media
  • Building a library where members can benefit from various sources in Turkish and foreign languages
  • Publishing scientific, social and technical books, magazines, bulletins and leaflets to instruct professionals and patients, and to create public awareness.
  • Supporting scientific research and development studies: organising scientific contests; providing scholarships
  • Organising sports tournaments and other social activities to raise funding
  • Building a strong communication bond between ALS/MND patients
