International Alliance Meeting
7 - 9 December 2010 - The Annual Meeting of the International Alliance of ALS/MND Associations brings together ALS/MND Associations from around the world to share initiatives and develop strategies for fighting ALS/MND. Attendance is encouraged for all Alliance members and people living with ALS/MND are welcomed as observer/participants in the meeting.
The meeting immediately precedes the 21th International Symposium on ALS/MND and will be held in Orlando, USA. The meeting program is as follows:
- 7 December 2010 - Board of Directors meeting
- 8 December 2010 - Annual General Meeting
- 8 - 9 December 2010 - Annual Meeting of the Alliance
Allied Professional Forum
10 December 2010
A collaboration between the International Alliance and the Motor Neurone Disease Association, the Allied Professionals Forum is focused on practice and experience for health professionals in the care and support of people living with ALS/MND. It will be held on 10 December. This is an exciting addition to the programmes of the International Alliance and the International Symposium and is coordinated by the MND Association.
International Symposium
11 December to 13 December
The International Symposium on ALS/MND is a unique annual event, which brings together leading international researchers, and health and social care professionals to present and debate key innovations in their respective fields.
The Symposium is planned as two parallel meetings, one on biomedical science and the other on research and advances in the care and management of people affected by ALS/MND. Joint sessions consider issues of mutual concern, challenging current views and practice.
