Needs and Offers

Partnership Program

"Needs and Offers"

  • Does your organisation have "needs"?
  • Is your organisation trying to get something started but having difficulty with ideas or options?
  • Do you or your committee want to do something new and creative but don't know how?
  • Have people with ALS/MND asked you about something or identified a service that you don't have, but want to explore?

The "Needs and Offers" Program of the International Alliance may be your assistant!  It may be a source of ideas, knowledge, services and support!

"Needs and Offers" is not about asking for money.  Partnership with another member to address your specific needs may achieve more than money could.  Partnership may identify funding opportunities, including the Alliance Support Grant.

So, what do you do?

  • 1. Talk to your committee and members and identify what your "needs" are - up to four can be identified at any point in time. Remember, only 10 words
  • 2. Make a list and send to alliance@alsmndalliance.org. Also send an expanded "Need" of up to 100 words to provide context of the need and any specific requirements
  • 3. The Alliance will put each "Need" on a page
  • 4. Each "Need" will be displayed at the annual Alliance Meeting and members will review them and make their "Offer"
  • 5. Time will be available for those with "Needs" to meet and talk with those with "Offers"
  • 6. Needs will be included on the Alliance website so that non attendees can also make "Offers"
  • 7. Regular reports of progress and maintenance of the list of "Needs" will be requested by the Alliance
  • 8. And we end up with better services and better support for people living with ALS/MND
